Obituary of John David Shirley

John David Shirley

November 25, 1945 – April 4, 2022

John Shirley, of Watford, passed away peacefully in his 77th year, after a short stay in Charlotte Englehart Hospital in Petrolia.  Predeceased by parents Alice and Albert Shirley, he was a beloved brother to Robert (Margaret) and Donald (Jane).  John was a caring Uncle to Kate, Alison (Sean), Adam (Ashley), Evan, and David (Lindsay), and had several great-nieces and nephews.

A kind and generous soul, John was a lifelong farmer with a great sense of humour.  He was a creative builder with a larger than life imagination as well as a passion for model trains.  A man of faith with a gentle spirit, John will be very much missed but not forgotten.

Special thanks to the staff at Brookside Retirement Living as well as the personnel at Petrolia Hospital.
