So wonderful to hear Mary’s journey expressed through the grandchildren as they read a synopsis of her life. Mary indeed was an expression of God’s love and I enjoyed the light of her witness through her acts of kindness. Walt and Mary hosting the youth in their basement was part of my growth and discipleship and their love and life example was part of God’s healing in my broken life. Forever grateful for Mary’s life and loving example, for her prayers, encouragement and generous support.

Glad I spoke on the phone a month ago to Mary. Meeting her family during Alpha study at church, such blessings. Gathering in her home for ladies bible study, will forever warm my heart, of our love of God and each other, together around that glorious table. Mary Ikert has been an amazing lady! Esther and Myself have spent many hours visiting her and Walt on the farm and have stayed there on more than on occasion. Their Home has always has been one our favorite places to be. Esther has know Aunt Mary and Uncle Walt all of her life and for me, most of my life. We've shared more weddings and funerals than I can remember; however the greatest privilege of all was just sitting in the kitchen having tea or lunch with Mary and Walt.
There is now a big hole in all of our souls that only Eternity will fill.
