Obituary of John van Lankveld

VAN LANKVELD, John. 

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John van Lankveld.  After a courageous battle, John passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021 at the St Joseph's Hospice of Sarnia in his 61st year.  Beloved husband and best friend of 18 years to Brenda (née Acton). Dear father to Brydget and Katrina (Rodney). Opa to Leilani and Keegan. Loving stepfather to Robbie. John will be missed by his godson, goddaughter, and by many nieces and nephews. John was a wonderful son, brother and uncle. Predeceased by his parents Martina and Henricus van Lankveld, brother Merv and first wife Anna.

John had a passion for languages, music, walks in nature, and travel.  He was always learning. Many thanks to staff at Bluewater Health palliative unit and St Joseph's Hospice of Sarnia for their care and dedication. 

A private graveside service will take place at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Watford. If desired, donations may be offered in John's name to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.
