Dear Ginie and family,
We are very sad to hear of Wayne's passing. You will miss him terribly but as God's word says, "we do not sorrow as those who have no hope", knowing, we will see him again, along with all who are living for and trusting Jesus.
Jim recalls how Wayne taught him about catching a baseball and throwing strikes, and remembers those wonderful little hunting excursions into the woods with a rifle.The Higgins boys, being just a bit older, were very good to their younger cousin and he was thrilled to have their attention. Always a good day going to Uncle Gordon and aunt Edith home.

Arlene Ostrosser(Higgins). I have many great memories of life on the farm with my two brothers, Wayne and Doug. I took a lot of teasing from the two of them, but I never told my parents on them. Wayne looked a lot like Elvis when he was in his twenties. He was at a restaurant one night and a teenage girl came up to him and asked him for his autograph and actually called him Elvis. He did it and told us later about it. I will miss him. I’m so sorry that he’s gone, but he’ll be rejoicing in Heaven. Love and prayers to all the family, Arlene

Our condolences to Ginie and to all of the Higgins extended family. I(Joe) well remember Wayne's mom & dad as well as his grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Alfie Waite, who lived across the street from me when I was growing up on Main St. in Watford. His grandparents lived in the house in which Wayne & Ginie lived for many years. Wayne would often stop at our Watford property on John St. to pick up scrap metal that I would save for him.
