I remember in my childhood hanging around McClung's Flowers when he took it over from Phyllis. He would go out his way to make sure his customers receive the above and beyond service that was the high quality, with the attention to detail.
All who knew him, such as myself, will greatly miss his giving spirit and generosity.

Remembering all the great times I had working with Bob in our family restaurant, The Bluebird (1972+/- to 1976). I would always take over the late shift after he was done working at 7pm (and every other Sunday). But I would always come sooner if I could to enjoy his company and great sense of humour. And man, he loved Monty Python!
He will be missed by many but I will always remember our time at the Bluebird. Our condolences to all of the family and friends.
Jim and Pat.

Darlene and Family: Bob will certainly be missed not only by you and your family but by the Watford community.
He was my mentor, and assistant for keeping us in line while were worked together on the skating board. Quirky sense of humour, made some of our meetings very interesting.
Always greeted with a huge smile, warm hug, and then he would start to giggle...."Queenie!" I am going to miss that Bob-a- Loo!
Keep those blades on the ice, dear friend!

I was so sadden to hear of the passing of Bob. I only knew him for about 4 years and my life is so much better for having known him. His smile, his intelligence, his wonderful sense of humor made him a joy to be around. I'm so sorry for your loss and my heart goes out to his family at this time.

I remember touring the flower shop as an elementary student, and recall how Bob's enthusiasm for the craft started me thinking that maybe a florist was something I would want to do with my life. It's not the path I chose, but I clearly remember the joy Bob exuded when showing us his shop, and giving us all a floral souvenir to take home. Bob's presence at Dennings brought comfort to many in times of sorrow - our family included. He was a familiar face with a warm personality that made everything seem OK, if even for a moment. The entire Watford community was made better with him in it, and he will be truly missed.

So sad to hear this news. Bob will be very much missed in the community as he always spoke to everyone he met and was such a kind and sparkling personality. His skating talent has been mentioned several times by my husband and others since his passing. I unfortunately never had the pleasure of watching him skate but I heard he could skate circles around the hockey players in town as good as they were. His talent for creating beautiful displays and floral arrangements, his knowledge of gardening, and his helpful nature will be missed as well. His beautiful Holly will be missing him greatly too since he doted on her and spoiled her after the loss of her previous owner. RIP Bob!! We all miss you already!

Met Bob endless years ago through figure skating. He was always such a kind and caring person. If Bob said he would do something it would be done, and done to perfection. I recall one year we were short a number for the Carnival and we talked Bob into doing a solo. It had been sometime since he had done a solo but he stepped up to the rink and did a smashing skate. Gone but not forgotten.
