Obituary of Florence Kernohan

Kernohan, Mrs. Florence (nee Capes) Passed away at North Lambton Lodge, Forest on Friday, June 10, 2011, at the age of 92 years. Born June 11, 1918. Predeceased by her loving husband Robert (2000), her parents Caleb (1956), Mabel (1975) & sister Muriel Hart (2010). Survived by her daughter Marian Zavitz of Sarnia & "other daughter" Anne Ryall of Port Stanley. Grandmother of Bryan (Laurie) of Sarnia & Robert (Marsha) of Ottawa. Great Grandmother of Rachel of Perry Sound. If there are angels on earth, then my mother certainly was one. I will miss her sense of humour & her beautiful smile. She loved people, gardening, baking, quilting , playing cards & singing. At the age of 80, she received a Service Award from Forest Agricultural Society for volunteering for over 40 years. She was a member of Forest United Church & a life member of Aberarder Women's Institute. Doing home care for many years, she helped many families: - Calder, Braun, Scott, Fraser & Lettie Kernohan to name a few. I want to thank all the staff of North Lambton Lodge for the care they have given my mother over the years. David Dyke officiating. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery. Luncheon to follow at the Forest United Church.
