Obituary of Greta Lembke

LEMBKE, Mrs. Greta Peacefully passed away at North Lambton Lodge, Forest, Ontario, on Saturday, March 26, 2011, at the age of 92 years. Greta, beloved wife of the late Oscar. Dear mother of Peter (Joyce) Lembke of Belle River, Anne (late Luke) Drouillard of Windsor, and Jan Lembke of Invercairn Beach. Cherished grandmother of Mark, Jessica, Jamie, Andrew (Danielle), and Jennifer. Great-grandmother of Liam. Greta was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Windsor. She had a great influence on young people in Windsor through her many years as a teacher in the city. Greta held the positions of President and Past-President of FWTAO, and was also a member of RTO. Enjoying summers away at Invercairn Beach since the 1950s, she later retired there with Oscar. She was thrilled spending time with all her grandchildren, and was excited to be a great-grandma. Greta spent many hours knitting, crocheting, was an avid reader and a fan of the Toronto Blue Jays. The family would like to thank Dr. Walker and all staff of North Lambton Lodge for Greta's care. A Funeral Service will be held at Christ Anglican Church, Forest, on Friday morning, April 8, 2011, at 11:00 am with Fr. Nick Wells officiating. A Celebration of Greta's life will follow at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1215 Parent Avenue, Windsor, on Saturday, April 9, 2011, at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior (10-11am), with Pastor Mike Lees officiating.
