Obituary of Norman Vanceeder
VANCEEDER
Peacefully, after a long journey. Norman Vanceeder of RR#3 Rodney in his 87th year. Norm took great pride in serving his country in World War II, enlisting at the tender age of 17.
Dear father of Norman Jr. Vanceeder of St. Thomas, Mary Lawton and her husband Scott of West Lorne, George Vanceeder and his wife Debbie of Port Glasgow and their mother Mary Vanceeder, Florence Dawes of London, Rick Cummings and his wife Ida of Rodney, Lynda Cummings of St. Thomas and Bill Cummings and his wife Connie of Chatham. Predeceased by his daughter Marvel Myers. Norm was loved by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survived by his sister in law Jean Vanseader of West Lorne.
Friends may call at the Rodney Chapel, 212 Furnival Rd., on Tuesday, September 29th, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be conducted at the chapel on Wednesday at 11 am. Rev. Deb Dolbear-VanBilsen officiating. Interment Rodney cemetery.
Rodney Legion Branch #525 will conduct a memorial service on Tuesday at 7:30 pm.
