Obituary of Rachel DeBorger

With her family by her side, Rachel Angela DeBorger (nee Wouters) of Forest left us to be with the Lord on March 10th, 2009. Born June 22nd, 1930 in Belgium, she leaves behind her very best friend and husband of 57 years, Frank, her children Edith (Bill) Prout, Gary (Wanda) and Brighite (Gerald) Spruyt. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Lyndsey (Alec) and Erik; Ryan (Nadia), Michael and Mitchell (Terri); Anik (Dan) Hill, Shannon and Taran and 1 great grand child Jaeden and step grandchildren Jenni, Pamela and Andrew. She is also survived by sisters Maria and Simone (Frans) in Belgium. In Forest and area, sister Anna (Louis) Soetemans, brothers Joseph (Lisa), Jules (Julienne), brothers in law August (Mary) Van Loy and Marcel (Emilia) Verreth. In Belgium, Gusta (Achiel), Joseph (Jeanne), Rosa (Hugo) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Melanie, Sidonia, Jose, Gabrielle, Lydia and in laws Leopold Lintermans, August Verelst and Jules VandenEynde and one infant grandson (1981). Visitation will be held at the Forest Chapel of DENNING FUNERAL DIRECTORS on Sunday, March 15th, 2009 from 6-9pm with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Monday, March 16th, 2009 at St. Christopher's R.C. Church in Forest at 11am with Fr. Gerard Bedard celebrant. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated by the family.
