Obituary of Paul Mistele

MISTELE Peacefully at STEGH with his wife by his side on Saturday, October 4th following a courageous struggle with cancer. Paul Gilbert Mistele in his 55th year. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Carol (Kriter). Proud and devoted father of Matt and Amanda. Predeceased by his father Maurice (1992). Also survived by his mother Margaret Mistele, sisters Mary Bilyea (Harvey), Anne Velle (Andy), Ruth McDermid (Thomas) and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Cherished son-in-law of Bruce and Velma Kriter and brother-in-law of Kevin and Irene Kriter. Paul devoted his life to farming - both by his operation of Misty Lea Farms and through his affiliation with agriculture industry partners. He will be missed by his many friends and colleagues in the agricultural community and will be remembered for his passionate dedication to the Ontario Federation of Agriculture and numerous other local and provincial organizations on which he held positions. Paul was determined to ensure that the agriculture voice be heard and he pursued this goal with commitment and enthusiasm. Friends may call at the Rodney Chapel, 212 Furnival Rd. on Monday, October 6th, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be conducted from the chapel on Tuesday at 11 am. Rev. Kirby Breithaupt officiating. Interment Rodney cemetery.
