Mrs. Staddon, Danny and Lynn Please accept my belated condolences on the passing of your husband and father. It was a shock to hear of his passing. I spent many hours chatting with him when I was visiting my son in London. It was certainly an honor to have known him although briefly that I did know him. Regards Ken King Kincardine,Ontario

Carl: Presley (6 yrs.) and I will find a black hole in our hearts forever whenever we think of you. From the enclosed ramp you constructed so that I might enter the West Lorne United Church, winter or summer to the empathetic talks you would enter about my particular plight. When newcomer Presley went to church with his "Nan" he was standoffish to people's very friendly advances. Carl, you would come up to me and show Presley what a smiling, happy friend you were to me. It was no wonder that when it came time to sound the church bell, or take your hand to walk up to the front for children's story (because you knew the struggle it would have been for me to bring him forward Presley even had second-guessing when I tried to bring him to story time) that Presley trusted, liked and admired you enough to comply with your urgings. Always you will hold a special twinkling in both of our hearts.

Hi Dan and Lynn. You may have two of these emails. I filled out one just a minute ago but am not sure it sent. Just a quick note to say we're sorry to hear of your loss and we are sorry we can't be there but remember we are thinking of you. The boys in testing.

Annette,John & Drew: May God give you peace and comfort in the days ahead as you adjust to the loss of your father, father-in-law and Grandfather. My Dad also died very quickly in May, 11 years ago, and although I miss him I know that he is in heaven "helping out" because he was like your Dad - involved in his community and busy helping others around him. God must have needed some extra hands with some important heavenly work this spring and has called your Dad home early. Again we pray that you will be comforted in the days and weeks ahead, Love Steve & Mary Lynn, Stephanie & Luke

Georgina & family Ray and I are so sorry to hear of Carl's passing. We were away for the winter until about a week ago and then went to Michelle's for Mother's Day (they are living back in Canada now and it is so nice to have them closer). We never forget the wonderful times we had with all of you! At times like this we wish we had stayed in closer contact, but we all live such busy lives anymore. I can see Carl up in heaven helping to make someone else's day a little better as he always had a smile and a helping hand to lend. We will keep all of you in our prayers. Love Ray, Marion & family

Dear Georgina, Annette, Dan and Shelly; Sorry to hear about Carl's passing. This brings back memories of those years when the Staddon family gave Sammy and I a ride to Church. The car would be packed with the 5 Staddon family, Grandma Staddon and Sammy and I would squeeze in. Thank you for 'picking us up on your way' and for making us feel part of your family. Those years of Sunday mornings with your family, brings back fond memories....thank you. I now am married and have four children of my own and when we are in West Lorne we attend Church. Carl would always be there with a warm smile and ready to ask how we are doing. I felt like a child again telling (and showing) my old Sunday School teacher the latest addition to my growing family. Thank you for showing me the importance of being active in the Church as a family. It has been a positive role example as we raise our children.

To Shelly and Family, I am so sorry to hear about your father and sorry that I am not able to make it out there this weekend and give you a hug myself. I can't even imagine what you are going through right now and want you to know I am thinking about you and your whole family at this most difficult time. I have very fond memories of your dad, he was so happy and friendly and had the best smile!! He was like a bright light in my day when he would come into the health centre while I was working, always taking a minute to chat. What he did for the community will never be forgotten. My heart goes out to you and I look forward to seeing you soon! With sympathy, Shari Mizzen

Annette With your Father's passing, may I offer my condolences to you, Drew, John and your entire family. It has been with a sad heart that I have had John keep me up-to-date with your and your family's on going troubling times. My Father too had a difficult time his last couple of months with us and although one never wants to give up or let go, at the end it was what he wanted and as time passed, we all knew that it was for the best. May your Father now rest in peace as is mine. Take care. Dave Marshall
