Hi MaryJo(Ivan):
I heard via my sister, Monica, in Sarnia from reading the Obituaries that your Father, Lorne, has passed. I never met your Father but I was always intrigued by him as he was an Adventurer in my young eyes venturing off to Africa(was it?) and you were taken out of school to go with him. I thought that was really something. Back then people just didn't do that sort of thing. What an exotic life! I did see him at your first husband, Steve's, funeral as you were beside him. May your memories sustain you and to remember there is a promise we will all be reunited.
Coming to you from Northern Ontario where I have been since departing Alvinston that I enjoyed for 5 years. I remember the send off I had.
I wanted to connect and send my condolences to you and your family.

Worked with Lorne on many projects he was one heck of a good man! I shared many laughs with him and enjoyed him showing me around his workshop at all his toys! He had so many projects. I asked him once how you ever going to get them done? He told me as long as he had a project to do he wasnt going anywhere and he chuckled. I guess he finished all of them here now! Men like him are rare he was a Top Hand in my books! My condolences to the family.

Lorne will always be remembered as one of the greatest guys I will ever know. He was a great friend to my father, Clayt and our family. He always had a caring smile and loved to have fun, One of the greatest memories was in Shelbourne when he had his John Deere Green truck and trailer, a little alcohol a guitar or two and a trailer full of friends.Need I say more!

Dear Mary Jo and Family,
We were saddened to hear of Lorne’s passing. He was always quick with a smile and loved our little ones like his own grandchildren. When our youngest was born, Lorne and Sally came to our house to see her. Lorne held our “little bunny” as he called her almost the whole time. Everyone wanted a turn to hold her but he didn’t want to give her up! It was so funny and sweet. He always thought a lot of our kids and enjoyed spending time with them. Thank you for sharing him with the Ziegler family. He will be missed.

Mary Jo and Family,
I will be thinking of everyone today as you all celebrate your Father's life. I remember his infectious smile always with a twinkle in his eyes.
I recall as a young girl in the 60's when your Father, my Dad (Ross DeBuck), Frank Riley and a 4th person left in their Model T Fords for a weekend road trip to St. Mary's. I am pretty sure they may have taken some cold beverages with them to quench their thirst.
