When I think of Margaret I always remember the stories my grandfather (Donald McLeish) used to tell about the brooch that Margaret had that was made from the seal used by her grandfather (Red Archie McLeish) to impress a wax seal on letters. There was also the story of the basswood chair made by her grandfather. (probably in the late 1800's) I believe the chair can still be found at the Lambton Heritage Museum. I try to keep these stories alive by sharing them with my children. Good memories.

If you knew Marg Sevenpifer you would know this lady was a terrific cook. Cookies and cakes always landed at the farm whenever Aunt Marg and Unc visited. Her tarts were my weakness. Even the dogs benefitted from an Aunt Marg visit when she produced leftover meat or a good hambone for the farm dogs.
An no neice or nephew ever suffered from cold hands because they were guaranteed at least 2 pair of new mitts at Christmas.
She always had an extra fondness for the men in our clan, making them special treats just for them.We girls had to learn to make the treats but she would give us a good recipe to try.
She was a true caregiver and the matriarch of the McColl family.
Gone now to join Unc, Uncle Don, Dad and Mom
Rest In Peace Aunt Marg
