Obituary of Arnold Minten

Peacefully passed surrounded by his loving family on January 1^st, 2019 at Bluewater Health, Sarnia at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Cindy (Nee Bosch) for 55 years. Loving father of Marty Minten, Sandy (Rob) Ferguson, Teresa (Dennis) Blunt, Jenny (Mike) Esselment, the late Johnny Minten (1973), and Mary-Anne (Marty) Swan. Cherished Opa of Natasha, Tanner, Karley, Allison, Kyle, Madison, Megan, Mackenzie, Derek, Marissa, Arnold, Owen, and Shane. Survived by his siblings Nettie (late Harry) Rops, Martin (Mary) Minten, Gerrit (Henny) Minten, Lambert (Helen) Minten, Tony (Monica) Minten, Joe (Joanne) Minten, Pete (Jackie) Minten, John (Jeannie) Minten, Frank (Cathy) Minten, Trudy (Pete) Kerrigan,  and Ted (Mary Lou) Minten. Predeceased by parents Martin and Arnolda Minten and his sisters Trucia and Lucia (1951). Arnold will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, many friends, and his second family in Holland. Farming next to his family, was the love of Arnold’s life and he farmed up until 3 weeks prior to his passing.  Arnold lived by example through his faith, loyalty, selflessness, dedication and love to his family. The family would like to thank all of the amazing and caring staff at Bluewater Health for keeping him comfortable during his stay. The care was over and above, Arnold felt as if he was already in Heaven.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 4^th, 2019 from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. and 7:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. at DENNING’S OF WATFORD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 5^th at 12:00p.m. at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church, Forest. Interment to follow at Watford Cemetery.
