Obituary of Fred Darke

DARKE, Pastor Fred Peacefully at Middlesex Terrace on Friday, January 17, 2014. Pastor Fred Darke of Strathroy and formerly of Watford, at the age of 68 years. Lovingly remembered by his wife Eleanor (Paul). Survived by his mother in law Margaret Rea of Oshawa, sisters in law Eileen Davies (John) of Tweed, and Connie Allardyce (Dean) of Enniskillen. Uncle of Geoffrey, Kenny and Jessica. Predeceased by his parents Rev. Bob Darke and Eva (Forbes) and his stepmother Esther (Day). Fred was a United Church Pastor for many years and helped start many Habitat For Humanity affiliates as well as being a founding member of its Canadian board. A Funeral Service will be held at the Watford United Church on Saturday morning, January 25, 2014, at 11:00am with Rev. Carey Wagner officiating.
