One word that describes Mrs. O'hashi is Angel. She was the kindest lady my children and I were honoured to have met and known for years. I met her when I was 14 years old and I'm over 50 now. Her oldest daughter Irene and I met in high school and remained friends all these years. Through her I met Mrs. O'hashi the angel that she was when I was 14 years old and continued to be all these years. My kids have know her all their lives. She was another grandmother figure to them. They loved her smile, her gentle demeanour and looked forward to seeing her when they were home. Once they moved away and would call home, they often asked about Mrs. O'hashi and how she was doing. She was family to us and my kids loved her. She touched their hearts and will always be a wonderful memory for them. In the last 4 years that she lived in Forest she was happy. Her daughter and son-in-law took her every where they went. She would come with us to the movies (even though she did not have a clue what was being said on the screen). She would go shopping, dinner outs, come to our homes, hang out with us and meet for coffee/tea at Timmy's. The whole town knew her because she had a routine she mastered every day. She would walk up town for breakfast at a local restaurant, go shopping in town, do her errands and then walk home. People that knew her would stop to offer her rides home and she always refused a ride because she needed her daily exercise. Sadly on December 9, 2013 she was on her way home from her daily walk something she loved doing every day and past away in front of her home. All the local people in town that knew her were shocked to hear she had past. They looked forward to see her as she touched their hearts too. My kids and I will remember her as a grandmother figure who was a gentle soul, kind, soft spoken, sweet, caring and loving to all who came in contact with her. She was truly an angel to us. We love you Mrs. O'hashi and you will always continue to be in our hearts. Franca, Jessica, Ricky and Kyle Henry
