Obituary of Marian Tomczyk
At Four Counties Health Services, Newbury on Tuesday, September 17th, 2013. Marian "Judge" Tomczyk of RR#3 Rodney in his 89th year.
World War II veteran, POW and British Intelligence after the war, Marian immigrated to Canada from England in 1951. A survivor of WWII, he was a prisoner of the Nazis in a labour camp for five years until the end of the war. Predeceased by his wife Violet (Kusiak) in 1978 and infant granddaughter Alicia. Dear father of Greg Tomczyk (Debbie Anderson) of RR#4 West Lorne and Ed Tomczyk (Sandy VanBreda) of RR#2 Rodney. Marian's memory will always be cherished by his grandchildren Jeff (Norma), Caitlin (Jason) and Casandra (Krag) and great grandchildren Lola and Harper. He had 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Predeceased by his parents Walenty and Wladyslawa Tomczyk. Marian was a gifted outdoorsman who appreciated the simple things in life.
Friends may call at the RODNEY CHAPEL OF DENNING FUNERAL DIRECTORS on Wednesday, September 18th, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, West Lorne on Thursday at 11am. Interment St. Mary's cemetery.
