Obituary of Donald Rogers

Rogers, Donald Bruce "Rog" 50, of Forest, Ontario, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 21, 2012, Born in Canning, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Thomas Clifton and Evelyn "Bobbie" (Blenkhorn) Rogers. Donnie was a Master Finishing Carpenter who loved hunting and fishing, and was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Habitant Branch No. 73, Canning. He is survived by his stepson Barry Huntley, and his grandchildren Reese and Gage. Donnie is also survived by his brothers, Tom, Roy, Gerry, Rob, and Brad (Susan); his sisters Anne, Elizabeth "Debbie" Simpson (Frenchie), Judie King, Dot (Vance) Sweet and Emily (Bruce)Cunningham. Predeceased by his brother James "Jimmy" Rogers. Donnie will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. Donnie has taken his construction talents to supervise higher projects. His quick humor and love for family and friends all endeared him to those whose lives he touched. Donnie's new journey will be accompanied by the tunes of his favorite singer "Bob Seger". A memorial service will take place on Thursday, January 17, 2013, at 11:00 am at the FOREST CHAPEL OF DENNING FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 9 James Street South, Forest, Ontario.
