Grandpa - You were a very important part of our lives. Thank you for all the welcoming hugs, the summers spent at the campground and Peanut Butter for Christmas. We had fun when you were around. Hickory Grove will never be the same because you will not be there. We love you and miss you

Our deepest condolences to the Ford family - both immediate and extended, but especially to Scott, Debbie, Karen and Barb - on the loss of Gary. Gary was always very good to me in the years that Scott and I dated. I still have very fond memories of our group trip to Florida and still smile when I remember Gary asking me if I wanted to go. I didn't understand what he said so I just said yes. It wasn't until he left the room that Scott said "My Dad just asked you if you wanted to go to Florida!!". Gary was always very giving that way. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this very difficult time. Janine and the Cameron family.

Our hearts go out to all our family. We have not experienced and could not imagine what you have had to overcome and continue to face. We can't say we understand nor have the words to soften what you are feeling. Sometimes time puts distance between us. Gary didn't let that happen. Whenever we were able to make it to visit he acted as though we had just seen him the previous day. Usually in the lobby waiting to greet us, give us a hug, pick on the kids, give us hell, and offer a drink. Many laughs were shared with him, he always had a way. In the midst of complete family chaos and bustle, he had a way about him to make you feel like you were looking at it all from a distance and be able to make you laugh. Everyone always knew where Gary and Barb's room was, . . we knew we'd be welcome and felt comfortable as soon as we were offered a seat. Chad always enjoyed visiting with Gary, he always made him laugh. He's still laughing at some of the times they shared, stunts and jokes, (pretending to shove us over the cliff - and expecting our thanks when he heroically held us back "It's a good thing I was there I just saved your life") I will never forget my first memory of Gary - him and Alex drove me in sane my first jamboree awaiting my notification of passing my nurses board. They became such a precious part of that moment in my life - and they knew how damn bad they were driving me nuts! I wish I would have known him longer. We'll miss you at family gatherings, it will hurt that you're not there. We love ya Gary, we will keep you in our hearts and memories. Will miss you, Chad

Duncan and I were sorry to learn of Gary's death. We always enjoyed our times together at Hickory Grove and since we had moved away, we had lost touch with Gary, except for a few visits on the street in Rodney. I am sure your whole family will miss him greatly. Please know that our thoughts are with you at this sad time. Duncan & Dorothy Gillies

We miss you Uncle Gary so much. You always put a smile on Isaac's face. You have touched more than 2 generations of children who will always remember the great man you were. Just look at all the people who love you! You were so good to my Mom and especially, a good brother-in-law and friend to my Dad. Isaac's very wise words have comforted me in these sad times, hopefully they will for others reading this: "Don't worry Mommy, he's with GOD and the angels now". May all those who love Uncle Gary remember the good times he shared with you. Love your niece and great-nephew.

Hickory Grove will never be the same without Gary buzzing around the park on his golf cart. He loved to stop along the way and visit with so many of his friends. I will miss him so very much. Gary knew the importance of family, and showed it in so many wonderful ways. I am so sad for the loss of your father. God Bless all of you.

Our hearts join yours in your loss, just as they do in the celebration of his life. As I recall my favorite memories in my life, I find Uncle Gary in them. Ballgames in Detroit, the campgrounds, fishing, weddings, family gatherings to name a few. He was a blessing not only to you his children, but also to us, and I will never forget him. I pray that my bond with his children is as strong, if not stronger, as the one shared by our parents. God Bless Gary Ford

My thoughts and prayers are with my cousins Debbie, Karen, Scott, all of my family, Barb, Lori, and Mike. Debbie, Karen and Scott, your Dad loved you all very much; the three of you and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. I'm going to miss your Dad's great sense of humour. I always admired how he would do anything for anyone. Uncle Gary will be greatly missed by us all. I love you all very much. Lisa
