Condolences to the Edgar Family,
Evelyn played such a pivotal and central role in the family. She will be very sorely missed. I last saw Evelyn (and Doug) at the McLachlan reunions in the early 2000s and visited them when they moved to town. Our connections with the Edgar family are long - generations long, as my sister Jennifer and I are 3rd cousins to the Edgar sons via grandmother Mary Belle. My grandmother Mary B Parker was in almost daily contact with Mary Belle and kept us updated on the Edgar happenings on the 10th line. We lived exactly 1 road over (with the same lot 7) on the 12th line.
On the occasion of our parents wedding in 1956, our paternal grandparents stayed with the Edgars.
I was in the same grade as Jerry at BCS and rode the bus together. I played hockey with Jerry in 1972 - 1973 and we regularly shared a ride to games in Alvinston and beyond.

I remember Evelyn’s kindness to me back when I was 18 years old and away from my family in UK in 1985. She welcomed me into her family that Christmas , filled me up with a good turkey dinner and Jello …. I felt so looked after. A kind selfless lady .
