In this time of sadness in the loss, the joy of memories & reminiscences my Family's thoughts & prayers are with your Family. There is so little that bring us together anymore, we are separated by distance, culture and our own Families needs and desires. Having grown up with your Father as a civic leader, a friend of my parents and obviously as a flamboyant figure that ignited the very room he was in or entering; it's hard not to relive those days of youth and boundless energy that shaped our lives. As the sands of time have shifted, our heritage is that small town community and our destinies molded by those we left behind give us greater understanding of what we were allowed to achieve. Their (his) inspiration gave us the opportunity to look outward as the world changed. My best guess is that we didn't look at it that way early in our adulthood but seeing the future was much more a skill in Mr. Lochead's generation that in ours. And for that we pray he finds his way to his final destination knowing that he has not only left a mark on his Family but a Community as well. All Prayers Greg & Mary Boyd Belle River, Ontario.

Forest has lost another great person in the community. Growing up in the area we went to Lochead's Hardware for many things. I remember that I bought (or it was bought for me) my bicycle there. I believe it is still at the farm. My condolences to all of Art's family.
