As each of you probably know, your Dad used to say he had
wished he didn’t live longer than his father. I’m ever so glad his
wish wasn’t his reality. It was brought to my attention he was doing
something to help me with his brother’s recent death. Thanking
him, he knew I didn’t have the health to deal with our loss
and said, “ I just wanted to help.” For Bob’s family, Gerry was one of
God’s angels.

Wonderful memories of Uncle Gerry. Family was most important to him and we loved having him visit as well as coming around Dec 24th for his birthday drink. He held our family together keeping the family reunions going twice a year. He helped out my parents many times and my Mom had a special place in her heart for her older brother. The last photo of him was taken when meeting his newest great-grandson, and through the magic of photoshop shall remain a treasured portrait of him with all my kids. He was absolutely thrilled to meet the baby, and we will all miss him very much

Uncle Gerry was an integral part of my childhood. He worked at Moffatt & Powell until he retired sometime ago. He was the longest living relative in my lifetime I've met. Long live the farm on the 3rd line, referring to RR#3 Watford on Brooke-Alvinston Township. He will be dearly sincerely missed. Scout's Honour Uncle Gerry till we meet again.
