One of the first times I met Bruce was when Pam, Dallas, myself and a few others were working on our Odyssey of the Mind high school team project - we were making an A-team themed trash collection pedal bike out of what I think might have been an old, red homemade go-cart frame Bruce pulled out of the scrap heap behind his cattle barn. When you're a teenager it is easy to be intimidated by your friends parents, but Bruce was so friendly and affable that I was immediately disarmed. We were both into the spirit of rummaging for gears, sprockets, moderately-rusty chains and other re-purposed bike parts and soon I felt like we weren't strangers at all. I'll never forget walking up to him in his driveway and the big smile he had on his face - "Hello Mr. Trenouth!" It is a fond memory; he was a wonderful man and he will be missed by many. Jess and I would like to offer our sincerest condolences to the family during what is undoubtedly a very difficult time.

From the time we met through 4-H with the kids you have been great friends. Bruce was and always will be a true farmer, with the values that true farmers carry, support, love and caring for family and friends and community..
