My condolence to the family on Jakes passing. Jake used to come to our house a lot and especially at Christmas time. I didn't call him Uncle Jake, just Jake. We all loved Jake, his smile, his infectious laugh. When Little ( around 5 or 6 ), I sat on his lap and watched him talk to Mom and Dad, Henry and Willy Visser. I loved hearing his stories. At my bedtime he would still be at our house, before he started to have trouble with his eyes, he would stay past dark and he would receive a hug and kiss along with Mom and Dad before I headed up stairs. Later in life I know he came to visit my Dad in the Courtland trailer park and chat away a Sunday afternoon. Only 8 years ago when my brother Nick had his heart attack Jake came to be with us and to drive Uncle Al Visser ( from BC) around, as they too, were the best of friends , I appreciated that so much
Before Covid hit the world, my husband drove us up to Watford to visit Jake in the home. He was beyond pleased to see us and I'm so grateful we went.
I will remember Jake with tremendous love and affection
May he rest in heavenly peace
