Obituary of Joan Plant

PLANT,Marion "Joan" (Akins) Peacefully, with her family by her side, Joan passed into the arms of her Savior in her 50th year, after her battle with cancer, at St. Joseph's Hospice in Sarnia. Left behind to celebrate her life is her husband of 23 years, Terry and daughters Jolene and Shannon. Beloved sister of Ruth (Jim) Clark of Blenheim, Allan (Deb) of Cardinal and Don (Nancy) of Sauble Beach. Sister-in-law of Sharon (Bob) Gillies, Kirk (Sandi) Plant, Patti Plant, Cheryl (Bruce) Bork and daughter-in-law of Bob (Yvonne) Plant of Blind River. Predeceased by parents Orland (2005) and Myrtle (2009) Akins of Strathroy. Special thanks for the compassionate care and guidance to Ellen and the CCAC team as well as the staff at St. Joseph's Hospice. Friends and family will be received for visitation at the WATFORD CHAPEL OF DENNING FUNERAL DIRECTORS on Tuesday, June 19th, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9pm with Funeral Service in the chapel on Wednesday, June 20th, 2012 at 11am with Fr. Tom Anderson officiating. Interment at Strathroy Cemetery. Please wear bright colours. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph's Hospice or Trinity Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family.
