Although we did not know one another except as neighbors passing by,as we watched Debbie and him landscape their front yard and the changes they were making to enchance their place, one got the sense of togetherness and the future yet neither seemed outwardly happy or very social! The reality of this sensless tragedy must be almost unbearable for you, Debbie's family and friends! No one should ever have to endure what Debbie did yet countless woman do everyday, and people must start to get involved, speak up,stand up, and stop ignoring facts or believing we must mind our business! We must support and encourage women to believe they deserve a better life and that there is a support system out there for this.It is so unfortunate that Debbie never will have a chance at a better life, she deserved so much more than this.As the people who discoverd the fire and called it in and then tried to get in the locked door to help anyone inside, then realizing the horrible reality of it all is extremly hard to come to terms with for us, so our hearts are with you at this time of heartache and unimaginable grief and torment. We placed our flowers at the last place I saw Debbie that day,in her front yard knelt down at the little tree they had just planted.Sending you our Condolences and thoughts, and wishing you the strength and courage to carry on and deal with all this in the days, weeks, months and years to come! With sincere symphathys Tom and Heather

I met Deb through my very good friend & Deb's best friend. We went out a few times together. I remember thinking "That Deb is really great...we should hang out more often, I had such a great time! What great company!" It never occurred to me that I wouldn't be able to get to know her better. My most sincere sympathy goes out to her family and friends. This world has lost someone very special, like no one else. May she rest in peace.

I was so sorry to hear about Debbie's passing. She was a true and loyal friend. Debbie always thought about my children when she came to visit. She brought over the most beautiful knit hats (that her mother made) and my daughters favorite blanket when she was born. She will be sadly missed by anybody that had had contact with her. I feel fortunate that she had been a part of my life. Debbie will be missed by all of my family. My heart goes out to Debbie's family who's pain could never be measured by her unexpected demise.
