Obituary of Stanley Rogers
S. Jack Rogers, peacefully in Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, August 15, 2006, in his 91st year. Predeceased recently by the love of his life, Margaret (nee Bodkin of Delaware) , who passed away on March 14, 2006 after 65 years of marriage. He was the much loved father of Patty and her husband Roy Leggat of Hamilton, John and his wife Brenda of Watford, and Owen and his wife Lynda of Nobleton. Adored grandfather of Quentin Rogers and his wife Jocelyn and their son Xavier of London, Kendall Rogers and his wife Jodena and their daughter Sophia of Calgary, Rob, Brett, Todd, Bram and Ashley Leggat of Hamilton, Ryan, Scott and Alanna Rogers of Nobleton. Will be lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law Connie Bodkin and his niece Anne and nephews Norman and Eric Bodkin and their families.A life long resident of Watford, Jack was actively involved in local politics and was an avid researcher on the history of the Watford area. During WW2, he served Canada in the armed forces. Jack joined Androck upon graduating from Western University, retiring as its President. He served as Reeve of Watford, Chairman of Lambton College , and as a member of many local Boards , committees and service organizations. Visitation will be held at the Harper Funeral Home in Watford on Thursday, August 17th, 2006 from 7-9 with the funeral service being in the Chapel on Friday, August 18th at 2:00pm. Interment to follow at the Watford Cemetery. Donations to the Charity of your choice would be appreciated by them family.
